This is a good mat to spread out on the area rug and give the baby a place to do tummy time or play, which is exactly what I purchased it for. The baby sometimes pays attention to the designs and textures, but prefers his toys usually. Still, the mat holds up well and goes through the delicate cycle on the washer with no problems.
