Product Description Brimming with the author's signature frankness and humor, a no-holds-barred account of what you can really expect when you're expecting. Oh, the joys of pregnancy! There's the gasiness, constipation, queasiness, and exhaustion; the forgetfulness, crankiness, and the constant worry. Of course, no woman is spared these discomforts and humiliations, but most are too polite to complain or too embarrassed to talk about them. Not Jenny McCarthy! In Belly Laughs, the actress and new mother reveals the naked truth about the tremendous mood swings, the excruciating pains, and the unseemly disfigurement that go along with pregnancy. Never shy, frequently crude, and always laugh-out-loud funny, McCarthy covers it all in the grittiest of girlfriend detail. With tips and hilarious musings on morning sickness and hormonal rage, hemorrhoids, pregnant sex, and the torture and sweet relief that is delivery, Belly Laughs is must-read comic relief for anyone who is pregnant, who has ever been pregnant, is trying to get pregnant or indeed, has ever been born!

Awesome Book August 31, 2010 C. Ramon This book was very easy to read and interesting. I read the whole book in one day.
LOVE! August 23, 2010 M. Burns (Summerville, SC) Cannot say how much I love this book! I swear she needs to write more because theres nothing that will make you feel better when youre pregnant than have Jenny McCarthy talk about her swolen body! Cheered me up when I was going through first trimester nausea!
Love it August 20, 2010 Newly pregnant This book was great. Loved reading it from start to finish. So funny yet down to earth on many things that you may relate to during pregnancy. Highly recommend the book.
Nothing special August 18, 2010 Starfish (Minnetonka, Minnesota) Luckily this was a short read (under 2 hours) otherwise I would have been even more disappointed. I knew when I picked up this book that it wasn't going to change my life, but hoped I would be at least mildly amused. I am at 13 weeks and believe me, have really not enjoyed pregnancy so far and have plenty to complain about. That being said, I found this book to be whiny and completely uninformative. The things she complains about and how she seems to cope with things is over the top in my opinion. One reviewer said she glosses over important things like why she didn't breastfeed, and why she did the CVS test. These would have been interesting things for her to expound on, but we heard nothing more about it. This book was sloppily put together and obviously written in a hurry. I wouldn't recommend reading this book, but apparently I am in the minority, as it gets good reviews.
Hilarious! August 10, 2010 Barry1007 I LOVE this book. My husband even asked me to read it to him aloud because I was laughing so hard by myself that he wanted to hear what was so funny. It is very candid and there were a few times where I could not even read it to him because I was laughing so hard. There are a lot of those "aha" moments, where what she is describing is EXACTLY what had happened to me.
