I took a look at this book and I'm hooked! December 13, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted to rhyme, to be an MC But my mind was slow and my tongue lazy When I'd try to rap everyone would flee Then I got this book, now b*+!es go crazy
Cause now I got rhythm and I've got groove Whenever I speak people bust a move I'm about to put Slim Shady to shame I'll be the white rapper with all the fame
See my name is Sir Ian, yes I'm a knight I don't use swords, in rap battles I fight And I can spit rhymes till the early light Sir Justin lays the beat his s!*+ is tight
Together we make an almighty team On the rap battlefield we reign supreme Cause I'm mean and this s!*+ flows like a stream Like a dirty nasty funky freaky f#+ed up wet dream
Let me take a moment to thank someone Without him we wouldn't be havin' fun An English language entrepreneur Everyone give it up for my man Webster
Now I know this is text, but your feelin' it And I'm so sorry I'm about to quit You're gonna miss all this wit I transmit But now is the time when I click submit!
Rhymin' Simon October 17, 2007 You need this if you are a poet, a songwriter, or a Hobbit. I bought my lemon thyme at some nickel-and-dime in Anaheim! Okay, I might not be the next Robert Frost or Bob Dylan, but I feel like I'm moving in the right direction.
Okay at Best. Here are a couple better options. July 30, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I find this one is basic and limited. You can only find rhymes based on sounds. A good rhyming dictionary should cross-reference both sound and spelling. I couldn't easily find a rhyme for the word "exit".
I would recommend the Penguin or the fully executed Oxford. The Penguin is a good one for a backpack or travel or carrying a lot. The Oxford is excellent as a stationary at home or at work because it is hard cover.

A fun and informative reference book for everyone in your family to use. I had no idea a book like this even existed until Amazon.com recommended this book to me after I had purchased other reference books from their internet store. I thought this was only going to be used from time to time when someone needed to write a poem for school or to be silly but that certainly isn't true at all. Since purchasing this book I know I have used this book several times for writing a serious love letter to my loving wife to writing something funny in emails to friends. I have found this reference book more handy than I first thought and I am very pleased to have this book in my private library. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who has children, anyone who loves to write, anyone who enjoys surprising their significant-other with a special poem, anyone who enjoys writing music or anyone who has a silly heart who enjoys writing for the sake of writing !!!

Over the last several years I have purchased many rhyming dictionaries looking for the one I like the most. This is one of the first books I tried. This particular book is somewhat generic in nature and is plain. It seems that some words are left out. This book would be good for a required book in a college class. It gives you basics plus it is affordable. But if you want something comprehensive, plus full of information on rhyming, there are better books out there.
