Amazon.com Product Description
CMC CD-Rs are recordable, but not rewritable, CD-ROMS that hold up to 650 MB or 74 minutes of data. Sold here in a pack of 50, CMC CD-R 650 MB 74-minute CD-ROMs are designed for data storage or backup of files you won't need to change. In order to record on them, you need at least a recordable CD-ROM drive and accompanying CD-burning software.

CMC uses inline-type layout with laminar-flow air purification, assuring consistent quality and the least amount of contamination. CMC offers CD-R finishes compatible with labeling applications using screen, ink-jet, and thermal printing.

5 out of 5 stars Just as good as any big name brand   December 19, 1999

I've used a ton of different CDR's and I've come across some good ones and bad ones. These CDR's compare well to the much more expensive Memorex or TDK. One thing to watch out for though: if you're thinking of buying these, be sure you have a label maker as well. The top surface on these CDR's (and CDR's like them) is unprotected and flakes very easily. You will lose all of your data and the CD will be ruined! Other than that, you can't be the low price.
