Changed My Bulldog's Life January 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a ten year old English Bulldog ("Mr. Wooly") who gets two (2) of these supplements every night (hidden in a piece of cheese.) About two+ years ago, Mr. Wooly began having joint problems (limping, trouble going up and down stairs, etc.) and I didn't want to follow my vet's advice and put Mr. Wooly on a steroid regime so I looked for alternatives. I found this formula to be almost magical. After about a month into this supplemental therapy, Mr. Wooly seemed a lot more active and did not exhibit any limping. He can still jump into the car, even at his advanced age, and I give this product all the credit. I've been tempted to try cheaper formulas and I've compared the ingredients, and cannot find anything resembling this configuration. I know for sure this works, so I'll keep buying it.
The Best Around November 16, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've been taking Glucosamine Chondroitin for my bad knees for about seven years. I've tried a number of different brands and I've found the Solgar product works the best for me. I've heard that Solgar products have more filler in them. I don't know whether that's true or not.
I have very little cartilage between my knee bone and cap. Several years ago, I could barely get up and down a flight of stairs. But after taking the Solgar product for three weeks, I was playing tennis. Don't get me wrong. My knees still suffered and were often swolen after I played. And where I could run around the court, I still had difficulty stopping and changing directions. Even so, this product has made a tremendous difference in the quality of my life.
I experimented with other brands, but always went back to Solgar. Indeed, different body chemistries sometimes absorb and react differently to certain remedies. It wouldn't hurt to experiment with Solgar and other brands to see which one works best for you.
