Stoneware Mug.CORELLE dinnerware is the original break and chip resistant glass dinnerware. Introduced in 1970, CORELLE is recognized worldwide for its legendary strength and durability. The first of its kind when developed, CORELLE glass dinnerware's underlying technology was an achievement of Corning Glass Works R&D scientists. Corelle glass dinnerware is made through a hub lamination process that thermally bonds three layers of glass: core glass in the middle, with top and bottom layers of very clear skin or glaze glass. The process creates a lightweight, durable, multi-layered product. In addition, the unique enamels used during the decorating process actually become part of the glass, so the patterns last as long as the plate.

With service for four, each place setting includes a 10-3/4-inch dinner plate, an 8-1/2-inch luncheon plate, an 18-ounce soup/cereal bowl, and an 11-ounce stoneware mug. Corelle constructed the set's plates and bowls by thermally compressing three layers of glass. The resultant vitrelle glass make-up resists cracks and chips with greater success than regular glass. The lamination process also combats stains, scratches, and fading. The user-friendly plates and bowls are dishwasher- and microwave- safe and warm food in conventional ovens up to 350 degrees F. The mugs, however, find safe use in the microwave only. For the best care, avoid soaking mugs for prolonged periods of time. Corelle discourages the use of abrasives or scouring for both stoneware and vitrelle pieces. Users benefit from the three-year limited warranty against breaks and chips. We received the original product with the handle of one of mugs broken. Amazon staff was very nice and they sent a replacement. Very Modern looking and very practical plates. The bowls could be little smaller.

I wanted new dishes for a long time, but wasn't sure what kind to buy. It is usually a big investment to buy a whole new set of dishes (nice ones). At Christmas, I noticed that my grandmother used a plain white Corelle plate to display her delicious cake. It brought back memories of my mother using Corelle dishes when I was a child. I knew they were less expensive than some other dishes. So, I looked them up and found out how many choices they offer now!
I am SO happy with my purchase of these! I bought another set of these in a different color so I can mix and match. They are so fun, and very simple and practical......perfect!

I bought these as a Christmas present for my grandaughter who is moving into an apartment. She picked out the pattern herself. They arrived safely and quickly. She was well pleased with the dishes.

I recently bought 3 sets of Rola for our family of four. Everything arrived intact except for 1 mug, which had a broken handle (amazing since I live in Hawaii). I opted not to replace it, due to laziness. I love my new dishes. The dishes look just as they looked on the internet, are very light and I still can't believe how many I can fit on my shelf. I chose this pattern over the more attractive "Squared" pattern because it has lunch plates instead of bread plates. The larger lunch plates are much more useful to my family. The lightness is crucial for my kids to carry plates of food to the table. They can handle two plates at once now!
Two things of note.
1. Even though I have 12 full sets, I often run out of the plates before the dishwasher is full (due to the thinness of the dishes, I can fit more into the dishwasher). So I'm going to order 2 more sets.
2. Recently, my husband was getting 4 dinner plates out of the cabinet at once (they were stacked) and hit the wood cabinet door as he was pulling them out. A long, thin sliver chipped off the edge of one of the middle plates. I was shocked. Today, I called Corellle and asked if this is covered by the warranty. They said no, but offered to replace it as a gesture of goodwill. I asked them what is covered under warranty (accidentally bumping a cabinet door seems like normal, everyday use to me). He said it would be covered if the plate broke while being used in the microwave or in the oven. Since he was so nice, I asked him if he would also send me a new mug to replace the one that broke in shipping. :) He said he would, but technically I'm supposed to go through Amazon because Corelle provides them a supply of replacement dishes just for this purpose. I asked him who's more reliable about sending replacement stuff and he said Corelle is.
p.s. He also told me that Rola pattern is very very popular.
