Amazon.com Review There's something clean and pure about cookware that's stainless steel inside and out. This stylishly finished version from KitchenAid's Gourmet Essentials series features a brightly polished interior that discourages food from sticking, and a handsomely brushed exterior with a shiny band along the rim. Each pan is entirely constructed of premium 18/10 stainless steel, except for the encapsulated aluminum disk in the base (aluminum makes a superior conductor of heat), and the silicone grip encasing the handle. Even the tight-fitting lids are stainless steel. Each piece is oven-safe to 400 degrees F and is dishwasher-safe. Whether you want to fry up pancakes for breakfast, warm soup for lunch, or feed chili to a crowd, this set more than accommodates your most typical cooking needs. The 1-, 2-, and 3-quart saucepans all come with lids, as does the large 8-quart stockpot. The 8- and 10-inch French skillets are nice and deep, great for poaching eggs or stir-frying veggies. Stainless steel cooks most efficiently at medium heat, and can be used to start a dish on the stovetop and finish it in the oven. An excellent value, the set is covered by a lifetime limited warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri What's in the Box 10-piece cookware set. The set consists of: 1-quart covered saucepan; 2-quart covered saucepan; 3-quart covered saucepan; 8-quart covered stockpot; 8-inch skillet; 10-inch skillet. 10 pieces total.
Product Description KitchenAid's Gourmet Essentials line brings you high quality cookware constructed from brushed stainless steel and aluminum. The brushed 18/10 stainless steel exterior graduates to a gleaming shine at the top while an aluminum disc base fully encapsulated by stainless steel provides even heating across the bottom of the pan. Ultra comfortable cool grip handles are comprised of an 18/10 stainless steel shaft encased in soft silicone rubber. The handles are dual riveted to the pan for added security and strength. KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials 10-Piece Brushed Stainless Steel Cookware Set November 10, 2008 Nice pots and pans but watch out that you don't burn anything. It took me a lot of scrubbing to get rid of some burn marks (burned popcorn) on the bottom of one of the pots.
Good except for rivets. October 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As with another review, we had problems with the rivets on the large pot. But the others are fine. Make sure you know these are NOT non stick. They are Sticky as they come.
Kitchenaid cookware set October 21, 2008 I bought this for my wife and she loves it. The only draw backs are that you have to grease the pans or the food will stick and it doesnt come with a wok. I priced the wok seperately and it costs about 40% of what the entire set cost me. Overall it is a good product.
2nd to the Top of the Line October 17, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
KitchenAid has outdone itself again with this cookware. You will not be sorry! I rate this product 2nd to the world's best cookware, All-Clad. If you want top-rate cookware without having to shell out the bucks like you would for All-Clad, then KitchenAid is the cookware for you. Keep in mind that food can stick in any type of stainless steel if you do not let it heat up first. Let your pan heat up, add your oil, then add your ingredients. You will not be sorry. Also, remember to fry eggs in non-stick or you'll be asking for trouble.
Happy Shopper September 30, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I checked out the reviews of this set of the Kitchenaid Gourmet cookware stainless steel pots on Amazon before making a decision. They arived promptly and well packaged. I was surprised at the weight of the set. My old stainless steel set is all warped from many years of usage (a gift from my husband nearly 30 years ago) - so if these last that long, I will be more than pleased with my purchase. I also used Bill Me Later and saved an extra twenty dollars. This was a real deal! Thank you.
