Under 30 yrs old, not for you. August 11, 2008 My wife bought me this magazine for xmas last year since I am a current men's health subscriber. I had high hopes for the item, but it just was out of my generation. I am 26th, and nearly everything in this magazine appeals to a much older individual. Stick to men's health if you are under 30.
The articles are ones you'll actually read. January 24, 2008
The articles are positive. I really enjoyed the issue that featured a pictorial on famous men and their sons (call it the Father's Day issue). Sex advice? Sure it has it occasionally and it's not geared toward the Playboy crowd. This is good stuff.
Pretentious December 28, 2007 I'm not sure why they include 'Men's Health' in the title of this magazine. It doesn't even pretend to be Men's Health. This could be the haughty-taughty version of Men's Health or maybe the dumbed down version of Money Magazine with a few lifestyle articles thrown in. Don't waste your time or money on this rag. I gave it 2 stars because it is easy to navigate and laid out nicely, plus it makes some good kindling.
Great for serious guys who don't need scantily-clad women on every page! November 29, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have always wanted to find a good men's magazine that had serious articles about things that mattered to me AND didn't have porn or near porn all over it. Best Life accomplishes that goal.
I got the subscription on accident with my frequent flier miles (wrote down the wrong code) and have loved my mistake! I've just signed up for a renewal.
Best Life covers topics from relationships, sex, divorce, money, fatherhood, fashion, etc. from a mature point of view. But while they are mature, they are also humorous, etc. There's always an article about some famous guy and what makes them tick. There's also always some hot celebrity female in an article but she has a fair amount of clothes on - enough that my wife doesn't mind.
Men's Health took over September 17, 2007 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
This was a good magazine until it became Men's Health Best Life and decided that they needed to have monthly articles about sex to sell. The magazine's allure is now gone and it has no more reason to exist. If you want this type of magazine, buy Men's Health. This magazine was something that could be left out for anyone in the family to pick up and casually read. Too bad capitalism has prevailed again and we've lost something of value.
