Awesome movie May 13, 2007 This is one of those movies that takes me to a place far away from the boredom and the bad sand that I am surrounded by here while I am deployed
Would recommend it to anyone who is looking to see a good movie about the different parts of the surfing culture
Stoked April 18, 2006 I like all the tracks, they kind of meld all into one continuous piece. Keeps me calm on the way to work. I own the movie too.
Sweet soundtrack February 1, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I listen to this whenever I'm on my way to the surf (or when I need to but can't get there). The soundtrack is like having the movie with me in the car and on my computer at work. With the interspliced dialogue between tracks, I'm taken back to the movie, the people, the waves, the stoke. The only downside is that it makes me want to be out on the water rather than in my car or office.
Surfs up! November 27, 2004 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
This CD, from the Step into Liquid movie is by far one of the best I have listened to! The vocals on almost every song are ridiculously sound and the music makes you want to grab your board and go catch some waves. All I have to say is lets go!
Good album, Great movie August 11, 2004 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
"Step into Liquid" is an amazing movie, and the way the music is woven in with the visuals is just breathtaking. I must say I'm a little disappointed with the album, however. The reason I bought the album was for the music which is played during the hydrofoil shots in the movie, which I later found out was a song called "Candle" performed by VAST, and it's not included on the album... "Touched" is an awesome track, goes really well with the big wave surfing scenes. My favorite track is "Cinecitta" and pretty much all the original score tracks are sweet. I also really like the way the odd tracks are little commentaries by the great ones, it gets you stoked to go wax up your board and get wet, even if the waves aren't good... It's worth the few extra bucks to buy the DVD/CD combo pack they sell in surf shops.
