| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description Hard rock producer Paul O'Neill, renowned for his work with Aerosmith and Savatage, teamed with the latter band's Jon Oliva to create Trans-Siberian Orchestra, an inspired fusion of classical music and rock-opera pageantry. Their first two releases are visionary and timeless Christmas-themed concept albums, spotlighting lead guitars and classical string sections alike, and they became instant contemporary holiday classics. 2004's The Lost Christmas Eve, which completes their symphonic rock Yuletide triology, underscores Billboard's recent comment that TSO "seems to be turning into a Christmas tradition."

Good Music and Good Show for Christmas January 6, 2009 The Trans Siberian Orchestra has a unique sound and uses this sound with Christmas time music to produce very pleasant music that can be enjoyed by itself (while paying attention to the music) or as interesting background for parties, dinners or other social gatherings during the Christmas season. The video provides an highly enjoyable and unique Christmas show by telling a story using the music. This is a very worthwhile purchase.
WOW! December 30, 2008 This 3 CD and 1 DVD package is worth every penny! Buy it and you won't regret it. Great price;great Trilogy.
Christmas Spirit in Audio December 28, 2008 A very good CD, but only for one time of the year. My one complaint is that though there are many songs with this compilation album, some songs are just rehashes of the other. I expected to be floored by full rock orchestra, instead I was only wooed by a lot of regular orchestra.
All in all, I suppose the live one would be better, be it was still ok.
Very happy I bought the box set December 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this box set after hearing only a few of the really popular TSO tracks on the local radio station that turns to Christmas only music after Thanksgiving. I figured if I bought a 3 cd set then I'd likely be set for life. With the amount of tracks on these discs I really am. I did not spend a whole lot of time reading the product description as I ordered it in a spare 5 minutes at work and I was very surprised when I found that there is a DVD in this set also. Having not known much about TSO before, (I know, where have I been the last few years?) I can happily say that I can now tolerate Christmas music again with TSO's fusion of rocking guitar and classical orchestration, there were only so many times I could hear someone sing "Happy Holidays...Happy Holidays...Happy Holidays." This is a great addition to my wife's extensive and very worn out Christmas CD collection. Product packaging and design is very nice and there is a really nice printed booklet included. Also, kudos to Amazon for getting this to me only 3 days after ordering this with free super saver shipping during the mad Christmas rush!
Christmas Music with life and energy December 14, 2008 I love the holiday season but I am tired of the same old takes on Christmas music classics and the fact there is so little new original and fresh music to enjoy. I bought this package for myself a couple of years ago. The energy these CDs bring to holiday music is unmatched. If you love rock and roll as I do even still in my mid 50s, you will enjoy this boxed set. The DVD is fantastic and I have watched it with my grandkids for two Christmas' before breaking down and buying the set for their parents. All ages will enjoy this music, yes it can be loud, so go ahead crank up the speakers and play these CDs loud. What a fresh take on Christmas to be had with this set.
