One hell of a beatdown August 31, 2008 This album lives up to its expectation. It's one hell of a beatdown. I've had it for over a month. Thanks to the record companies for puttint it online EARLY for EVERY Dragonforce fan to hear. It's a MUST HAVE for EVERY power metal fan, and Dragonforce fan alike. I love it, and I've only been into the group for 2 months now, and know the current line up, looking for the other three albums, which include: Valley of the Damned Demo, Valley of the Damned, and Sonic Firestorm.
And if you hate dragonforce, here's what I say: go listen to the soft crap.
I love the way EACH track is done. Especially the song Reasons to Live, that's a great track, even the way Herman makes his guitar whistle makes me laugh each time I hear it. And they're a very clean group, I hardly notice ANY language in their songs, which makes it enjoyable as well. But still a little language in any song's always good. it's a very good album all together. I love it, and would HIGHLY recomend it.
Boy...how did they ever come up with that title? August 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
That's right, the title couldn't be more of a give-away. This sure is an ultra beatdown, Dragonforce style. With Dragonforce, its either you love 'em or you hate 'em (or you love to hate 'em). For all those haters, and love-to-be-haters out there, i say get lost..'inside the winter storm'.For those of you who can appreciate..well...good job. Dragonforce is something unique, upbeat, energetic, and very metal. Sure they dont follow all the standards of power metal...but who does? Plain old riffs and high pitched fantasy lyrics dont always cut it...and thats why we have Dragonforce. They really do turn it up to 11 on this particular album. There really isn't a bad track on here...and all of their genius is back, better than ever, Soaring vocals, upbeat and enchanting choruses, and more of the crazy nintendo metal (thank you vADIM) that we'ce come to associate them with. Each song is better than the next, including the uber-catchy anthem of 'strike of the ninja' and the different yet powerful 'scars of yesterday'. Even the ballad lives up to expectations!! This is a 5/5 album, and i recommend it to any power metal fan who thinks outside the box. Believe me, this is one beatdown, you're dying to get..!
