Much better than Subliminal Verses. This album is classic Slipknot aggressiveness with a little of Corey's signature singing style thrown in. Some people like it, some people hate it, but I think it works well on this album and is quite fun to listen to.

This album is good as long as you most likely like the thrash metal type of music even though it does as some really good vocals on few tracks. If you listen to this while working out then this album will be great.

i think this cd is awsome!!! now while the style has changed a bit which in my opinion happens with time but they are still fast pased and crazy! rock on slipknot!!!!
 Slipknot lost its groove August 30, 2008
I don't know what direction these guys are trying to go in. But, i'm certainly not liking it at all. This cd is riddled with soft lullaby's. And, when they decide to get heavy, it becomes the typical noise, fast beats, double bass garbage that has no groove/rhythm....just like every nickel and dime band out there today. Did not like this cd at all.

This album is good, if you're a knot fan its truly splendid! I don't know why I love this crap noise style music but I just can't seem to get enough. After listening to this album, it is "more" similar to Slipknot's first album and a touch of Stone Sour (purity-ish). I heard it was going to be more like Iowa (personal fav) but no definitely more like the first one, with the technicality of the vol 3. There is some slow songs and not all thrash, but its still got that Slipknot sound. You can definitely tell Thompson and Root went from being really good guitar players (1st album) to just down right nasty! Musically it is brutal nasty defecation of garbage and blah! So yah, pretty loud and pretty swell...... PHSYCOSOCIAL!!!
