I have loved Lifehouse for a long time and Whatever it Takes did not disappoint.

1 out of 5 stars Does it take credit, debit or Diner's Club? Are there discounts?   August 10, 2008

Lifehouse's "Whatever it takes" shows that the trio of Christian rock pretty boys are probably Nickelback clones. The theme "I'll do whatever it takes to get you back" has been repeated endlessly by the "bad boys" of Canadian rock, and Lifehouse follows suit. There's no life in it. The lead singer sounds gruff and annoying. At best, this song serves as background music,or for karaoke. At worst,it's going to be a staple at wedding receptions. In sickness and health, and this song makes me sick(!!)

*yawn* and i just woke up too...

um...where to start?

i've heard this a few times and it never really stuck out much. none of the lyrics really bring the song to life. vocals aren't bad though. i'm watching the video now.

what's with all the lamps?

anyway, this song comes and goes for me. it's pleasant radio fluff i suppose. some think that's all they're good for. but i personally adore you and me. the lyrics are better.

all i know is i gave it a fair chance.

3.3 stars.

end note: if you like lifehouse you'll probably like this song. it's pretty slow though. you and me was too but it had a playful rhythm.
