I would like to have my money back on this product. It did very little to improve my computers operation, and I still have the same problems from before the installation of "system Mechanic". To sum up, I am completely dissatisfied with the programs opoeration. Plus, right after buying it the software was advertised for sale at around half the price. That's not the way to keep customers happy, but then I never have to deal with them again, and won't.

System Mechaniac is like putting mal-ware on your computer, it slows it down, crashes your system and alters your settings for the slowest performance possible. Plus after your infuriated and want to cancel/refund this crap you bought the customer service is terrible, completely braindead, and oblivious to any problems/requests you have. I emailed them and requested a refund and a subscription cancellation and they emailed me back saying I could upgrade to version 8.0.....like I would really want to do that after watching this horrid mal-ware, Sucker mechaniac slow down, crash and nearly destroy four computers within two weeks. This product and company are trash, anything with IOLO espessially system mechianic is to be avoided if you value your computers life.

Based on the title you might think this is an upgrade from version 7 - but that is not the case. When you install this from the dvd you will find that it is version 7.5.1. So, where does the "08" come from? Must be the year the packaging was changed. Perhaps it is a ploy by IOLO to get you to sign up for a subscription the renews annually. Fortunately you do not need to sign up to install the program. While the program is certainly capable, it is not a new release. If you already have version 7.5, don't bother.
