Product Description
Condition: NewDescription:The ideal accessory for either a living room or a child\'s bedroom or play area, Disney\'s red, Classic-styled DVD/CD player from Memorex is equipped to handle DVDs, CDs, homemade audio CD-Rs and CD-RWs--even content policing (parental locks let you prohibit specific DVDs). The set\'s high Disney fashion derives from its fun shape and cute, detachable yellow \"feet.\" The player also includes an entertaining, Disney-designed screen saver and customized onscreen user interface. For added convenience for both parents and children, the player comes with not one but two remote controls: a full-function model and a simplified one for the kids (offering power, play, pause, stop, and forward and reverse chapter-skip buttons).A snazzy Disney logo enlivens the front panel, and kids will love the buttons arranged in the famous Mickey Mouse silhouette. Other features include a choice of composite- and S-video outputs, Dolby Digital 5.1-channel surround output (for use with a a full-featured audio/video receiver), picture zoom, and multi-speed playback (forward/reverse).In the box: DVD player, 2 remote controls, 4 AA batteries, user\'s manual, stereo analog audio interconnect/composite-video cableStyle: ClassicDisc capacity: 1Progressive scan: NoPlayback formats: DVD-Video (NTSC), red book CD, CD-R, CD-RWAspect ratio control: YesDialog enhancer: NoIntegrated receiver: NoFront-panel operation: Play, pause, forward/reverse skip, eject (no menu control)Multi-angle viewing: Yes (with applicable discs)Black-level adjustment: NoChapter preview: NoCustom bookmarks: NoFrame advance: YesStill/freeze frame: YesJog/shuttle dial on unit: NoKaraoke: NoMultilingual support: Yes (English, Spanish, French)Parental controls: YesPicture zoom: YesRandom play: NoRecording capability: NoReverse-frame step: YesScreen dimmer: NoScreen saver: Yes (Disney-designed)Slow motion: YesText display: NoVCR capability: NoAudio outputs: 1 stereo analog (left/right), 1 digitalHeadphone j

5 out of 5 stars Works like a Champ!   September 1, 2008
My daughter received the TV and DVD player for her first christmas 3 years ago and EVERY NIGHT we watch a movie. No problems! In fact now that my second daughter is born we are looking to get another for her room.

2 out of 5 stars Didn't last long   July 21, 2008
My daughter received this DVD player from Santa. This matched her Disney TV and it was so cute. Unfortunately, it didn't last for a year. It probably would cost more to have it repaired than to get a new (more reliable brand) one.

5 out of 5 stars Mickey Mouse DVD Player   January 22, 2008
I LOVE this DVD player!!! I am a TRUE Mickey Mouse fan and could not have given myself a BETTER present :o)

4 out of 5 stars Mickey Mouse Dvd Player   January 4, 2008
The only problem I had was it was a Christmas present and the box was all beat up and had a big hole in it. The product was fine and the service was good. I will buy from him again.

5 out of 5 stars No troubles for me   June 2, 2005

Wow, read the bad review for this and had to review it myself. As a self professed "Mickey Fan-addict" I just had to have this when I saw it. I have had mine since they first came out (3 years or so) and I have not had problem one with mine. Great picture, love the child remote and am now looking at 'upgrading' to the new 19" disney tv and dvd/vcr combo. Mine has not had any rough handling though so I couldn't say if this would be a problem with small children although I would think that true of any electronic appliance.
