5 out of 5 stars Best yet   December 4, 2008
After owning multiple older Motorola models and a Plantronics (dumped that one in a day), this 710 is the "Best of the Bunch". Folks that I speak with find it much easier to understand me, and the noise cancellation feature must work a bit, because regular road noise is no longer complained about. Still, if a diesel truck is nearby, folks will hear it. I wonder about the new 715? Would like to give it a try too. My son has a 710 also, and I do get some echo when speaking with him. I am leery about trying the Jawbone, have heard too many fit issues.

By the way I can't figure the person that complained about fit, I am 6'5" and a large guy, the ear loop fits me great!

5 out of 5 stars This is the best H series yet!   November 25, 2008

I have had 3 previous models of the H series and was always disappointed over the volume level. This one finally got it right and really has solved the volume problem. In fact, it's so loud that Motorola no longer has to have the cheap rubber liner (that always tears off) to seal the ear.

The Multilink feature is also fantastic. I paired it with my BlackBerry Curve and my Motorola E815 and it receives calls from both. One feature that is hidden in the documentation is that this is one of the few multilink sets that allows you to pick which phone you wish to place your call from. If you tap the button once, it will signal your primary phone to make the call. If you hold the button for a couple seconds it then selects your secondary phone to make the call.

The volume buttons are now no longer buried deep in the shell and hard to hit. They actually are hefty and easy to hit. Also you can mute this device quite easily but just squeezing (taping) both volume buttons, very easy to do, at the same time. To unmute just do it again. Because you are squeezing there is no chance of knocking the headset off your ear!

Gone is the old style beeping and bleeping when it's turning on, replaced with a very nice melody when powering up. Also, it lets you know with a melodic rampup and rampdown tone when a function occurs or when the the phone hangs up.

The micro-usb connector is not an issue at all. A PS comes with it to charge it in your house. For about 3 bucks, you can get a Mini-USB to Micro-USB dongle (look for it here). You can charge it from any mini-USB car charger with the little 3 inch dongle. I also ordered the mini-usb splitter cable so I can charge my BlackBerry and headset at the same time but I found that I hardly use is because when I'm charging the BB, I have the headset on anyway!

As I'm reviewing this one, I'm placing another order through Amazon for a 2nd one for my wife!!

Run, don't walk, to pick one of these up!

4 out of 5 stars Good enough - but not great...   November 25, 2008
The headset is too sensitive and picks up background noise - even as subtle as a fan - and it interferes with the conversation. The earpiece isn't 'one size fits all', either. It tends to slip more often than not. But - for the price, it's doable - for now.

4 out of 5 stars Wireless headset   November 24, 2008
Motorola Bluetooth H710 is the most comfortable ear piece I have tried, this is my second one as my son"borrowed" the older one. It does not bother you, is not intrusive in your ear and therefore, allows you to listen well and drive safely. Well done Motorola !

4 out of 5 stars Good headset, the flip mic/switch is a boon.   November 23, 2008
Pretty good quality headphone, the flip mic/switch is very intuitive. Connection with two phones works as expected, though it has a notion of primary phone and secondary phone, so you might need get the wrong phone to call, when both are in vicinity. Great voice quality, good on power. I am a light cell phone user, so discount my opinion accordingly.
