5 out of 5 stars Bran Cereals   August 18, 2008
My husband and I needed a high fiber cereal with good taste. We found it in this cereal.

5 out of 5 stars Ice cream-a-licious   August 1, 2008

I first found this at Costco where (of course) they stopped carrying it. It was a 20 oz box for $7.99. With Amazon subscription it is $3.12 (or $6.24 for 20 oz.) a real bargin.

I can only add my praise for this product to the others. It has crunch, flavor LOW CARBS and LOTS of fiber. I generally do not eat it straight. I add it to some other cereal favorites making them healthier.

But my favorite use is as a topping over ice cream. Try it, you'll love it. And don't you dare add any butterscotch caramel topping, or I'll call the health police. But do try nuts--it's oh so good. So you see your fiber is NOT just for breakfast anymore. And such a deal!

5 out of 5 stars Great with yogurt!!   July 25, 2008

I first found this product at Whole Foods but then found it here for a lower price and free shipping! I eat it most days with plain yogurt. It is not too crunchy (like grapenuts) and not too sweet.....a great product!

5 out of 5 stars Good Blend of Flavor and Fiber   July 8, 2008

If you are looking for a way to get more bran into your diet, this is an excellent choice. I have tried other bran cereals. Most have compromised flavor in order to maintain a high fiber content (from boring to downright terrible). Others are very high in sugar and fat (from nuts). Smart Bran tastes good while still managing to keep the calorie count low and the fiber count high.

We purchased this cereal last week at Whole Foods. My husband and I love it! I joked that it looked like gerbil food, but after looking at the fiber content we were hooked. We finished the first box after a few days and went back to purchase more, but they were sold out. Every where we go this cereal is sold out. So I decided to check amazon and of course they have it! So we signed up for the auto delivery.

Follow up on first shipment: We received the first shipment today. The package was extremely beat up. Some of the cereal had been reduced to crumbs. Amazon did not put in any packaging materials.

Follow up on second shipment: We placed a second order and this time the package arrived in good condition. Amazon used the air bubble pack and it helped keep the cereal from being reduced to crumbs.
