Better than Cheerios October 15, 2008 Tastes like a much milder version of honey nut Cheerios with a bigger crunch. And how can you say no to eating little hearts each morning?! Definitely a staple in my cabinet. Good dry or with milk. My kids like it too.
Tastes awesome! August 28, 2008 Somehow picked up this cereal from Costco at random a while back and have gotten glued to it ever since! I hate really sweet cereals and this one has just the right amount of sweetness to it and I love the crunchy feel it gives. I keep trying other cereals especially the Post Selects (which my husband loves) but I cant help keep coming back to Kashi Heart and Healthy !
Works for a diabetic August 28, 2008 I don't know why, though it's probably the fiber, but most Kashi products don't raise my blood sugar, when normally that high of a concentration of carbs would. I've been eating it everyday for a long time, and am not sick of it yet. I thought the texture would be too dense for my toddler, but she loves it to. Yay Kashi.
Something like Cheerios, but better... July 23, 2008 We've been buying Kashi Heart to Heart for a few years now. We are never long without it. My kids love it. They mostly only eat it as a snack, without milk. Some of the kids prefer it as part of a "trail mix" with added dried fruits and/or other cereals.
It's similar to Honey Nut Cheerios, but not as sweet, plus this one is free of any nuts. (Good to know for peanut-allergic people.)(My friend's daughter has a peanut allergy. The daughter eats this all the time.)
Once I made cereal bars with this. I melted marshmallows & margarine, then added the cereal. Then, I pressed it into a baking dish. (Like Rice Krispy Treats.) That was good...almost too good. I ate a million of them. The kids liked them, too. (I don't think my husband got any.)
Anyway, this is a 5 star cereal. Everyone loves it.
Buy it elsewhere. Walmart generally sells it for around two-fifty. Plus, check around for coupons (eBay). Kashi runs great coupons.
Really reduces cholestrol! June 25, 2008 Tastes great! and more importantly, eating this regularly really reduces cholestrol. The details on this cereal reads much better than any other good tasting cereal I have seen. This cereal has less fat etc even compared to the other Kashys heart to heart cereal (with blueberries).
