Good taste, bad lid October 10, 2008 I really do like the flavor of this soup. I don't find the flavor bland at all, but I also don't smoke or eat a lot of salt or sugar (things that can greatly affect one's ability to taste flavors). I don't add anything to this soup and enjoy it for lunch once or twice a week. The portion is just right. I wish it was available for subscribe & save. HOWEVER, the lid sucks! I do spill a good tablespoon or so getting the lid to peel off and inevitably have to wash my hands and wipe off the counter. There's just no easy way around it that I can figure out. That is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. But the soup is so much better than it's competition that I still buy it regularly.
Good, fast, satisfying lunch September 23, 2008 A good fast satifying lunch of about 2 cups and 240 caleries. Ample meat and flavorful broth.
Great Quality August 15, 2008 I got these yesterday and had one for supper. It was very yummy. Other reviewers said that they had problems with the container. The only problem that I had with the container was that it made a loud popping noice a few times while in the microwave, but the label warned me of this so I expected it. I had no problems opening the metal lid. It was like any other pull tab lid. Anyways, the soup is excellent and I would highly recommend if you like Italian Style Wedding Soup.
Worst microwavable soup container, but decent soup June 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like this soup and it is a good change from chicken noodle. Not as good as homemade, but good for a quick meal. BUT, the microwavable containers are terrible and I won't buy any more of this soup because of them. Getting the lid off is difficult, and I don't have any problems with my hands. In fact, my fingers & hands are very strong and I can pull myself up on a rock wall with my fingertips, and reupholster furniture (which requires a lot of finger strength). But I can't seem to open these darn containers without using utensils to pry the lid off...and I spill a good portion of the soup in the process. Although I prefer the taste of Progresso Italian Style Wedding Soup over that of Campbell's Select Italian-Style Wedding Soups, I will buy the Campbell's soup in microwavable containers because I can actually get to the soup to eat it without prying the lid off and splattering soup all over.
DO NOT buy this soup if you have arthritis or any problems with you hands or fingers.
Great Soup January 6, 2008 This is my favorite Progresso soup. Full of little meatballs and spinach in a flavorful broth. If you are tired of chicken noodle, chicken rice, etc, try this!
